the alan parson project | "dream within a dream" | tales of mystery and imagination | 1975
i call this picture "dream within a dream" (after the alan parsons project song) in an effort to convey two things. first, was my sense that our perceptions, the things that make up our mental existence, comprise one dream inside another, which is our temporal existence (a.k.a. maya in some circles). second i hoped to convey one of the glorious effects music has on my mind, the sense of altered reality created by a meditative state some music can get me into.
